Drive Clean Canada
Drive Clean Canada is a national public education and awareness program dedicated to closing the clean energy information gap for South Asian Canadians. We bring trusted, accessible, multilingual education about EV charging and clean fuels directly to the communities that need it most — in Punjabi, Hindi, and English. The program runs from 2025 to 2027 across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Atlantic Canada, and is delivered by the Parvasi Sahayta Foundation in partnership with NRCan, TRC Solar, and Parvasi Media Group.
WHY WE CREATED THIS PROGRAM
Canada is on a mission to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. A major part of that mission depends on everyday people — families, seniors, small business owners — choosing cleaner fuels and electric vehicles. But there's a problem. Most clean energy education programs aren't reaching South Asian Canadians. The information is almost never available in Punjabi or Hindi. Events rarely take place in familiar community spaces. And the messaging often fails to reflect the real lives, questions, and concerns of newcomer families. Drive Clean Canada was created to fix that.
